Subject:   Building Access Card Deactivation

Date:         Monday, August 11, 2008

This morning, most you have experienced, including myself,  that your access badge has been deactivated.   While some staff have access, there is a significant population in which access has been denied.

Unfortunately, this problem is endemic to this building.

After placing a call to Franklin Pelcheck, the Property Management Company, the following was provided:  All access badges were given different expiration dates instead of being programmed to deactivate when Ask Mr. Milo's lease expires in this building.  This explains why some of your colleagues have access and others, had their badge deactivated.  (There is no paperwork to fill out to reactivate your badge)

While Franklin Pelcheck has extended their sincerest apologies for the inconvenience, they are expeditiously working on correcting this issue and are committed to rectifying this situation before the end of the day.  At this moment, there is no plan regarding how to get staff to and from their destinations.

Franklin Pelcheck will contact me this morning with an update, and that information will be disseminated.

For those who have active badges, at your discretion, you may wish to volunteer use of your badge.  If you are expecting visitors in the lobby, please make suitable arrangements.

Thank you for your patience.
